Find out more about the benefits of a continuous zip and why you might choose to make use of one instead of a normal zip
Is a zip continuous?
Continuous zips differ from other zips in the sense that the zipper tape is sold per metre, with no zip pulls. This means you can cut your zip in any size you’d like. This also means that you can include two zipper pulls, because… you already know… you need to love the appearance.
What are the advantages of continuous zipping?
Reduce waste: Since you only use the amount of zipper tape you require, there is an environmental benefit of continuous zipper tape. With some planning, waste can be reduced to a minimum. Also, an extended length, with enough pulls, could turn into several zips.
Whatever length you want: cutting the zip tape to length will allow you to make long zips!
Multiple zip pulls: This also means that you can put two zipper pulls onto your tape, which gives you a unique zip like this one.
You can make it more personal – mix and mix the zip tape and zip pulls to suit your desires

Important notes
Certain zip tapes have the ability to pull or slide, look up the description of the item for more details.
When you purchase zip pulls, ensure that they match the size of the tape or brand that you are purchasing.
Method
1. The tape should be cut to the desired length. Cut with scissors from the home to cut the tape through the teeth.
2. The zipper teeth are pulled to the bottom. the zipper teeth away.
3. With the reverse of the zipper pull and its tape’s back with the tape facing upwards, thread one side of the strip into the zipper at the bottom. For this to be easier, you can angle the teeth towards to pull the zipper from the opposite side.
4. Repetition step four. On the opposite side. The two sets will want to rest on uppermost point of the clasp.
5. Maintaining the 2 sides of the teeth parallel to each other, place the zip pull between your fingersor thumb, then pull both side of tape by pulling it with one hand. The zip pull should start to pull higher up the tape.
Alternately, you might prefer to put the zipper pull between the prongs the fork.
6. The pull should be pulled towards at the very top (without getting off the other side) then pull it down to verify that the zip is working.
7. If two zip pulls are needed Follow the steps 1. to 5. From the other edge of tape.
And you’re done!
Handy Hint
If you’re having difficulty by this method, you can use a fork help you hold on to the pull and then tuck the zip’s bar between the teeth of the central one (not the clasp, where teeth are required to be).
…And should your fork not remain still, hold it with a dot of blue-tack.
