Vaser Liposuction can help you get there, by enhancing the natural look of your face as well as creating a defined and toned physique.

Based on the degree of sculpting required, the surgeon can perform a high definition, middle definition or normal Vaser Liposuction.

What’s the procedure?

Vaser Liposuction is a minimally invasive modern ultrasound technology to precisely target and eliminate unwanted fat.

By utilizing the ultrasound energy as well as the heat produced by the probe in the vaser, the surgeon can strategically melt fat prior to extricating it, which results in far better results than traditional liposuction in which fat is not melt.

For this reason, Vaser Liposuction is regarded as superior than traditional liposuction.

Vaser Liposuction, also known as Ultrasonic Liposuction due to the nature of the ultrasonic energy used and technology utilized to it, is a cutting-edge, minimally invasive Fat Removal procedure. The ultrasound energy targets unwanted fat, but also preserves important tissues like nerves, connective tissue, blood vessels and Collagen to accelerate healing. In removing the deeper and the superficial fats surrounding muscle groups, it boosts the visibility of the well-toned muscles below. The result is a reshaped body that appears more defined and defined, giving an enviable, toned and sculpted appearance.

For best results, it is imperative that your surgeon be specially trained in VASER Hi Def Liposuction and you can also receive an enhanced version of traditional Liposuction , but with no added sculpting.

Before Vaser Liposuction Surgery

After your initial consultation, you will have a meeting you with the Vaser Liposuction physician to go over your expectations and potential outcomes. At the time of your consultation, you will be weighed – and you must be below 28 – and weighed for the custom-made garment you will need to be worn for your post-care program.

On the day of the procedure, your surgeon will draw highly detailed and precise marks over the treatment area(s), these are unique to you and be a replica of your anatomy. The marks will be used to define where the surgical sculpting is going to occur. The patient will be made comfortable and ready for your surgery.

During Vaser Liposuction Surgery

Vaser Lipo can be accomplished using local anaesthetics and light sedation or under general anaesthetic. The method of sedation chosen will typically depend on the extent of your procedure as well as the number of areas to be sculpted. Your surgeon will discuss this during your consultation.

A liposculpture procedure involves several steps:

Saline solution

In the beginning, the treatment area(s) are covered with a tumescent solution. This assists in shrinking the blood vesselsand, in turn, minimising blood loss and reducing the post-surgery bruising. It also helps to break up the fatty tissue with Vaser the ultrasound’s energy.

Ultrasonic energy

Small probes are then utilized as transmitters of an energy wave that breaks up and emulsifies the fatty tissue between the skin and muscle. This process is unique and ensures that other vital tissues remain unaffected, resulting in faster healing times. This process highly targets the desired area and allows your surgeon to cut away the fat and then etch your contours to simulate a naturally slim and well-defined physique.

Extraction

The liquefied fat is then removed by a very small hollow cannula made of metal (via tiny incisions which are 3-4 millimeters wide thus scarring is minimal) which is then inserted and directed into the area of the fat that has been emulsified. The cannula is then used to gently remove the fat by suction technology and is often combined with a massage technique. After that, your specially trained Vaser surgeon will gently form the desired contours out of your muscle structure to create the appearance of a slim and toned body.

Any remaining fat is excreted in a natural way by your body after surgery, providing the final result of a more healthy body throughout your recovery.

Vaser Liposuction is the treatment of fat that is removed from specific regions in the body. The Vaser liposculpture procedure has been so precise that it can be utilized on areas which traditional Lipo can’t treat.

The most commonly used fat removal zones are:

Chest or bust
Lower and upper back
Stomach
Flanks and waist
Hips
Buttocks
Calves
Knees
Ankles
Chin / neck
Arms
Both the inner and outside thighs

While the recovery process is different for everyone, Vaser Liposuction does involve more extensive aftercare than traditional Liposuction. The more commitment you put into your recovery process, the better your results will be; your final outcome will not be apparent until two or three weeks following your procedure. A good aftercare regimen is a rigorous use of bespoke body compression clothes, and post-procedure ultrasound, lymphatic massage and correct exercise and diet.

Your treated areas should be beautiful and keep their beautiful appearance while you are at the same weight. If you gain weight, you’ll typically gain it on different areas than those which were treated.
Post-Operative Recovery

Incisions

You might experience some leakage of liquid from the incision areas for the first day or two following your procedure. This is referred to as known as tumescent and is a product of the local anaesthetic. It may be blood-tinged that is normal, so don’t be concerned; however anything pronounced is something that should be brought to attention of the doctor.

After 7 days of your surgery, depending on the location treated it is recommended to have an inspection of your wound to check your sutures , which will eventually disappear. Avoid getting the incision area wet since a humid and warm environment harbours bacteria and may cause an infection.

Garment

When you return from the theatre, you will be wearing your custom-made compression garment placed in place. You will need to wear this continuously until you are advised by your surgeon that you may remove the item. Be aware that if your stop wearing your custom-made liposuction suit prior to the time you receive your advice, you will not experience optimum results.

Bruising / Swelling

You can expect some swelling, bruising and discomfort following the procedure; some swelling may last for a long time. You might also feel that you’ve lost your senses in the areas treated and this is completely normal and is not an issue to be worried about. When your nerves begin to regenerate, sensation and feeling should be restored to normal.

Discomfort

Immediately following your surgery you should expect some mild and manageable with your medication prescribed by your doctor or pain. The discomfort will last only a short time, with the majority of patients walking around with ease after a week or two; please be aware that you may require some help during the first 24 to 48 days following surgery. A pain medication is prescribed to ease any discomfort, however, if you start to experience severe pain, contact us immediately. We recommend that you avoid taking any medicine that contains aspirin within one week following surgery.
Short-Term Aftercare

Driving

With many insurers your car insurance will not be covered for 24-48 hours following the time you’ve had an general anaesthetic injected. After this time we would advise against driving for 7-10 days, as you may find some of your movements restricted as swelling and brusing goes down.

Physical Activity

Vaser Liposuction procedure requires only a little time off, meaning it is possible to resume your normal routine within a couple of days following your procedure, depending on the area that is treated. We recommend taking at least a week off work so that you can recover completely. In the coming two or three weeks, your areas of treatment might remain extremely sensitive and strenuous physical exercises should be limited. During this time you can slowly return to activities like light lifting, and sexual activities. The surgeon will provide clear advise of the things you can do, depending on the area of your treatment in your consultation.

Garment

Following your procedure, you’ll receive an individualized Liposculpture compression piece, this is an important component of healing. The garment needs to be worn for between 4 and 6 weeks, as directed by your doctor, to aid healing, reduce swelling and in the end, to ensure the proper contour of the areas you have treated.
Long-Term aftercare

To get the best results, we suggest that your post-operative care includes a specialized course for Massage for Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Massage. We will work closely with an MLD specialist if you choose to include it in the recovery process.

MLD Massage

For optimum results we recommend taking a course of manual lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Massage which aids in speeding up the recovery processand eliminates any swelling or accumulation of fluid in the body and helps to get rid of any remaining toxic substances.

The MLD massage technique could be utilized following Vaser Liposuction just 48 hours following your procedure, to help accelerate the recovery process. It incorporates an ultrasound treatment that is followed by a manual massage. By manipulating lymph at the dermal-epidermal junction (1-2mm deep, equivalent to the thickness of 5 sheets of paper) this technique assists in the body process and eliminate excess fluid from the deeper layers, as well as shallow depths in negative and shallow depths. MLD improves skin retraction and reduces stiffness in muscles, thereby improving your immediate post-surgery mobility as well as having an anti-inflammatory and therapeutic effect on the tissues.

Physical Activity

In the next 6 weeks, you’ll be fully recovered and able to perform more intense and physical exercise just as running and lifting heavier weights. If you’re experiencing uncomfortable, or you aren’t confident about returning to a more vigorous routine, you should discuss this with your liposculpture surgeon who will gladly address your questions with you.
